Berry Chia Jam


  • 3 cups of assorted berries (fresh or frozen)

  • 1 tbsp pure maple syrup (optional, leave it out if the berries are sweet)

  • 2 tbsp chia seeds soaked overnight in freshly squeezed juice of 1 orange

  • 1 tbsp lemon juice

  • Pinch of salt

  • Few drops of pure vanilla extract​


  1. Place all the ingredients except the vanilla essence in a deep pot and let it reduce until it reaches jam consistency.

  2. Keep stirring to prevent sticking the bottom of the pot.

  3. Add vanilla essence when the cooking process is complete.

  4. Let cool and enjoy it on a crusty toast or on pancakes.
